December 2008 Update

During December, Khun Na, Shane, Ted, other staff from BSB in Bangkok, and myself visited the Ban Kok Noi Wittaya School in Chiang Rai Province for the official opening of the new buildings.

The accommodation is now complete with 2 new dormitories for the children and a new kitchen and we are all very pleased with the result.

The next project is to update the electrical system and install some more solar panels. Some panels which were donated by the local temple are already installed but the whole system needs to be overhauled and upgraded.

We are planning to install sufficient panels and new batteries so that the whole school and accommodation units will have lights and there will be extra power to run the computers.

Our target is around Bt 175,000 (£3,000) and to date the fund stands at about Bt 140,000.

Any help towards the target is, as ever, greatly appreciated.
